Hey all,
Sorry for the sparse posts. I haven't been working on the game much this last month. My other hobbies have suddenly become more interesting than porn. (Seriously, how often does that happen?) Don't fret, I expect to be getting back to coding again shortly, but in the meanwhile I'm happy to ride out my other interests for a bit.
Although I haven't done much with the game, I'm pretty excited about what little I have done. Almost all the comments/problems from the last few months have been addressed to some degree. I'm not promising y'all will agree with my changes, but I think in every case the result is better than before. So, that's pretty cool. Crawling has in fact been greatly reduced, the bunny village is little less annoying to travel around, and there's even a few bonus goodies hidden away now (be sure to go back & visit old levels in the next release).
I'm starting to work on the double team animations now. I'm not 100% sure I'm happy with them though. One of the things I really wanted was for the original single monster grab to influence the double team position. So for example, a single human male grab would combine with another human male/female like so:
This sounds okay & all, but it also means that the animations are a bit repetitive. In this case, the original male's animation barely changes at all, and the actual difference between the 2nd male/female isn't really all that big either. Of course, I'm showing one of the worst examples so far, and I'm cherry picking from the four grapple positions... Still, not sure this is going to give me the variety I want.
On the other hand, this is also much faster to animate, as I don't have to change the animations nearly so much either.... So not entirely a bad thing. hahah!
Anyway, that's where I've been for the month. Hopefully I'll have more to post soon!

Your hentai game is, indeed, a GOOD game as well. :3 And one of the sexiest out there (even though I almost play exclusively as Krystal, yay!). I adore your work and want to play it more, so I simply cannot wait. Though I wish I could play as Rouge The Bat *chuckles* But. Yes. Keep up the amazing work, Dirty!

XD I personaly see very little problem with making the double team just a variation of the initial grapple,however with several positions I am wondering how this will be done. I am sure you will figure something out of course, just it will probably take more effort then a speedy proccess. Good thing we can be patient for sex right?

The secret to drawing "well" is extreme patience. I was born with a nurological disfunction that screws with my vidion yet I was capable of doing some pretty nice portriats bye taking forever to do it. I would suggest using a reference source of course, but grid it off and focus on portions at a time, it helps to capture details when you do it this way.

Yeah, pretty much everything I do is hand drawn in Flash. I start by finding a reference to get my proportions in line & copy that to the lowest frame. Then I'll trace over it several times to get the jist for where the lines 'ought' to be. Then I scratch all that & start over. Sometimes it goes really fast, sometimes I have to repeat several times, sometimes I draw a skeleton or reference circles. I don't have a hard rule yet, which is probably why I'm so slow. hahah.
DeleteIf you're just starting out, definitely play with the curve smoothing option in Flash (on the properties bar, on the bottom), and don't be shy about zooming in A LOT (press M). I'm told the latter is a bad habit, but it works for me. Lastly, I've recently started playing with moving the sketch points (press A) to get smoother lines. It's very slow going, but if you have to 'stitch' two curves together it will save you a lot of pain.
But the most important part is to keep practicing. I'm still a total hack when it comes to drawing, but I've gotten good enough with what little practice I have to really see the improvement. The more you do it, the easier it gets.

K Fox and the Magic Sword was actualy made usign sprites from a game by Playshapes. He made The Legend of Krystal but never finished it. He put the game out for download for people to finish it for him or make there own games. At least, that is what I read, but that would explain the speed of his earlier game.

Just a quick thought on the submissive collar. Perhaps it should grant stronger protection from grappling damage since other items boost your stats by several points. taking a negative to body and spirit realy make it difficult to win in comparrision. Plus we all know that no one wears the collar for reasons other then watching the girl get used :D. My opinion, nothing more.
