I'm seeing folks get stuck in places. That's not fun, so here's a very quick walkthrough of the key quests. I of course encourage you to try to puzzle it out yourself before reading below.
Really, does that even need to be said?
I went down the elevator & now I'm stuck!
You're playing a low body character, so you can't climb back up the cables. You need to go through the door on the right, defeat the pirate boss, and then restore the power by fixing the leaking pipes in engineering. Bonus hint - There's a maximum of 10 pirates, and defeating the ones in front of the elevator reduces how many the boss can summon. You can also quickly walk into the next room & back again to summon more, which will further reduce their numbers.
I can't make the combination pipe / I can't find a long pipe!
If your spirit score is too low, your hero won't think of building a combination pipe. You'll need to find a long purple pipe somewhere on the ship. There's a loose one up in the crew quarters, leaning against one of the walls.
I can't get into the armory!
To unlock the armory, head to the top level & visit the captain & first mate. He'll send you on a quest to get a medical kit. You'll need to talk to the chief of security Roc, who is in the recreation area. You'll need to either be very strong or have restored the ship's power in order to open the doors to the rec area.
How do I put out the fire / How do I get into the cargo bay?
There's two methods, and which one you choose will depend on your hero. Heros with high body will need to obtain the fire axe, which can be used to smash the debris around the fire. The fire axe is in the back of the armory (see notes above for entering the armory). Heros with high spirit will want to put the fire out with the staff of water (mop). It's located in the crew quarters, in the janitor's closet between the restrooms. K. Fox will need rescue Lei Lei & use her hat before she can detect the staff.

How do I open the human tent / elf tent / bunnykin keep? / How do I get past the outer wards?
Equip some of the gear from the correct race to bypass the wards. So to bypass the human ward, you need to either equip the starting sword or the giant maul, which are dropped by human females & males respectively. The wards on the keep are slightly more advanced, so it requires you equip both a weapon & a piece of clothing from the bunnykins. Note that Farah is automatically allowed into the human tent, and Lei Lei can automatically enter the bunnykin keep.
How do I open the ward blocking the stairs / How do I get past the ward inside the keep?
Defeat the 'leaders' of the elf & human tribes, which are located at the back of the elf & human tents, respectively.
How do I activate the animation on the human throne?
You don't, there isn't one. It's just there to wall off the hidden room until you unlock the option to slide it out of the way. The elf throne however is a different story.
How do I fix the dunecrawler?
There are three missing pieces you need to find, but their exact location is somewhat random from game to game. You will have to search around a bit to find them, but the rough location of each are:
Northwest corner of town (upper right)
Southeast corner of town (lower left)

Bunnykin: In the main keep
Humans: In their side camp
Elves: In the black tent
