November's Post - Not a rapist.

Okay, so let's start with my game.  No progress, nor was I expecting any.  Could/should get started as soon as the end of the year, so expect some more filler for the next month or so.



Around the interwebs this month there were 2 games that caught my interest.



The first is called Youth Ward, and the demo can be found for free here on Newgrounds.  Let me say straight up that the porn isn't very good.  I was really caught by the story/setting though.  I'm the 'stable' one of all my friends, so I've never had the 'privilege' of being  in a mental house as a patient.  I've visited plenty though, and I'd bet this is pretty much spot on.  So, highly recommend you go play the demo, especially if you know anyone mentally unstable & want to get a glimpse of life on the other side of that door.  Can't recommend it as a buyer, but at only $4, you might consider buying it just to support the artist.  Think of it as a nice donation.



The second game that caught my eye this month is a demo from Toffi.  He's been on a break for a long time, so I was delighted to see him start posting again.  You can find the latest demo on his blog here.  The first two levels kinda left me limp, but this new demon girl boss is damn good.  Toffi has made some of my all time favorite porn games, so I'm just tickled all over to see him back again.   Here's hoping for more in the future.  =)



And now for the meat of this post.

I come back to this question time & time again, & now's a good time as any to pose it.  I'm of the opinion that in order for a game to be a game, it has to have some manner of challenge.  It's a bit trickier to provide a challenge in a sex game though.  The players (presumably) want to see sex.  It's a game, so it makes sense to provide porn as a reward.  The easiest way to do this would be involve gameplay vs  members of the opposite sex.  And as the reward for winning, you get to have your way with them.  Which sounds kind of fun, right up until you take a step back & go - hey, that's called rape.  I don't want to be a rapist.

Consensual sex would of course be best, but if it's consensual then where's the game exactly?  There needs to be a challenge somewhere.  In my racing game, the race was the challenge, and the sex was offered up as a potential reward.  Note the difference between offered rewards & taken rewards.  If the 'dialogue' had been written differently, so that the player was the one offering cars in for sex, the game would have taken on a much darker tone.

In order to avoid this problem, we end up with all manner of befuddled porn games.  In my mind, Illusion is the king of screwy with the sexy.  In "You can't escape the Heroines", the path to porn is to actually lose a fist fight with the girls, so that they will then try & jump you to 'seal your powers'.  Yeah, talk about going around your ass to get to your elbow.  But the more I think about it, it's really hard to provide a challenging game with a sex reward and have the player not come off  as the bad guy.  (There are a few games where the player is the bad guy of course, but let's assume we want to be heros).

We can dodge a lot of these problems by making the hero female & making the computer control the bad guys.  Now we can make the bad guys rapists as well.  They were already bad guys anyway, now we just have one more reason to fight them.   So we get our challenges & we get our sex & we get to be the good guy (girl).  The problem is that in most cases, the sex is provided as a reward for losing, not for winning.  If the player wants to see porn, they have to lose on purpose.  That's opposite the usual goal of playing in the first place.  The player is getting rewarded for sucking at the game.

Oddly, one of the better solutions I've found has been with modded games.  I think I like this because the porn (usually) has nothing to do with the main gameplay at all.  The porn is never there as a quest reward.  About the closest I've ever seen is a whorehouse that required in game money, so in theory your questing pays off with sex, but that's a very loose association in my mind.  Come to think of it, that isn't a bad solution for adding porn to all manner of games.  A brothel on the side means that you can spend your cash however you like, and if the player wants some jollies as well, hey, we just added an easy cash sink.  Perhaps this is why brothels appear in so many role playing games, despite no actual sex?

This is a tough nut to crack, which is why we see so many strange variants on sex games out there.  I'm not planning on fixing it anytime soon, that's for sure.  But it is something my thoughts drift back to constantly.  So I'm ending the post this month with a question to all of you.  If you could make any sex game you wanted, what would it be?  How would the mechanics work?  Would the sex be the main game, a mini-game, or something on the side?  Try to keep your posts short & keep it general, I'm not looking to read dissertations nor am I trying to steal ideas or anything here.  I just think there must be a better way to make fun porn games.

    Each player chooses a 'set' of pieces.
    Sets are customizable, and consists out of girls, guys and monsters.

    The animations should be set, so there is only one (or two, whatever) animation for Guy!Pawn/Girl!Pawn or Monster!Knight/Girl!Bishop but many different skins to choose from.

    Each time a piece is captured, a clip plays of the ensuing sex. Captured pieces can be viewed at the Dungeon, where captured pieces can be forced to service each other.

    This game would have one core package, but skins for the pieces can later be added. This enables people (with the right know-how) to create skins for their favorite franchises.

      But yeah, something kinda like this, only with simpler sprites ( 2D ),integrated sprite/piece creation (or at least, support for it) and custom set selection.

      Ideally, this would be a wide-spread idea (at least under artists). They would create customs sets of whatever they wish (animes, cartoons, games, etc.).

      Imagine, if you would, a mixed anime female set:

      Knights : Asuka Langley Soryu

  3. I'd make the game so that the world would not be completely saturated with porn and sex everywhere. No naked girls on the street, no fucking in the alleyways, walking down the road would be a completely normal experience.

    Sex would be a reward after completing a task. You beat a monster or complete a dungeon and BAM, chicks dig you. You've just opened up some sex scenes. You want more? Go and quest for the fabled potion of transformation to turn your girls into big-dicked futa or busty bimbos or whatever. Want an orgy? Do quest X, Y and Z to get the girls and to get them to like you enough to lick each other’s cooch for you. Sex as a reward, without you feeling like a rapist.

    Of course rape could still be in the game, it just wouldn't taint the majority of all your interactions with others.

    I’ve always liked Legend Of Queen Opala in this regard. The world is a mostly normal place, but there’s a lot of sex if you know where to find it and work hard enough for it.

    In these games, you can play withtout having sex scene (not for sakyuu)
    The platform concept bring a nice gameplay which could be reactive and entertainement (see hounds of blades for fluidity and sakyuu for difficulty)
    You can by yourself enter in a sex scene when you loose or when you win, but game over never happends (it's because I love these game : even if you loose, you can have a sex scene whitout restart your game. So you can be a bad or good guy if you want)

  5. My favorite framework has been a "corruption" metaplot, where the (usually female) protagonist can avoid things (beyond mild titillation, I guess) but can also choose to go around having sex with anything. VH and maybe RQmod are probably the best examples.

  6. The Rance series managed to have the main character be a male who raped(?) them without making you feel like a terrible 2D being. Even if it wasn't rape by the end of it, it started as non-consensual sex.

    If I could have an expanded version of Sengoku Rance I'd be happy for a long time. Strategy games allow players to actually get into the game and the re-playability of them is a great plus.

    Come for the porn, stay for the gameplay (or come for them both and stay for them both when it came to SR).

  7. There are a few systems that I'm aware of that can help remove the bad guy feel, while still rewarding players for winning. The first method that I think works quite well is rape or be raped. Your opponents would do the same thing to you given the chance, so turn about is fair play. Another way is to have a dating system on the side, or have companions to your PC that you can build sexual relationships with. There could also be characters that proposition your PC as they progress through the story. Possibly being friendly monsters that you meet in the dungeons, or characters you do something for, like rescue.

    One big rule of thumb though, one of the most important things I think needs to be included for a sex game to work best is for the sex and the gameplay to not directly interfere with each other. This seems counter intuitive, but trust me, the game will be better if you aren't forced to constantly watch sex scenes for every foe you beat, or every time you take a hit. On the flip side, sex scenes are much more enjoyable if you aren't taking damage while you're watching them, or are expected to enter button sequences while they're playing. Unless of course, the sex is the gameplay.

    I think struggle meters are by far the worst offenders of this sort of issue. The best designed porn platformer game I've ever played is easily one that gave you three hits per life, and getting hit triggered an ero scene that lasted as long as you wanted it too. When you hit any control button once, your character broke free or respawned. Regardless of when you hit that button, you always took one hit. That way you can watch the ero scene as long as you want without being penalized, and if you don't want to see that particular scene anymore, well, just keep playing right after you get hit.

  9. Wow thats a good question. A sex game or a game with sex that might not involve the ''Bad guy feeling''... Hum...
    If I applied to your game:
    I would add interactivity with NPC's so you can get some sex scenes while ''not questing''.
    Add a 'hornyness' bar with some spells from the mobs (and maybe some NPC's or items) which
    may lead the char to ''do it'' with the mob instead of just getting rape or raping the mob.
    HellI think I would even add that factor to the mobs and NPC's. What I mean is when playing your game, the char loses clothes so the less clothes you have, the more everyone wants to do it with you. I know this would complicate the combat coding, but this is what I would try to do for a game.
    Or to keep it simple, just go with the hornyness on char. No sex available unless a certain degree is attained and once that point is reached you could either fight it (keep fighting) or succomb to it (seduce the mob/npc).

    Even after all that. You've asked a very good question. XD

  10. I think Corruption of Champions has the best approach to this, as an idea. It allows you to play the character entirely on your preference of goals. If you really want to jump everything in sight, you can beat pretty much anything and anyone into submission to have your way with, but most of it adds to your corruption. Corruption isn't necessarily a bad thing, mind you, and unlocks all manner of perks and such, but it does show that you are in fact making yourself a 'bad guy'. On the other hand, you can play the hero, and still enjoy the porn factor as an onlooker before rescuing the assaulted maiden, actually winning her (or his, for those so inclined) heart and getting the 'good' sex. There's also everything in between, in any way that it fits the situation. A lot of people don't care much for text games, but I think they're about the only way to really allow for this kind of full freedom without putting together a whole team to cover a million different scenarios worth of art and whatnot.

    That said, I think you did a pretty good job of setting this up. Yes, the hero is sort of encouraged to lose by the promise of smut, but you can also 'win' the grapples, turning the tables for a whole different scene. The problem with making a really in-depth game that has the porn as a reward for success is that most people who play smut games generally like instant gratification, which is the other reason why I think the 'lose to win' setup is so popular.

  11. I don't agree that games are about winning. The good point with sex games is what introduce you to sex. Sure, you can just watch an anime or a porn movie and enjoy something prettier, better refined. But you miss the envolvement. It is damn more sexier to play a heroine getting fucked because she is overwhelmed by her opponents, after a missed dodge. A game like yours is almost about roleplaying it. I am a very good player and if I want, I can easely finish yours without taking a crash, but I am not playing it for that. And I wouldn't like it if that was the only way to be rewarded. I like to decide, judging by the situation, when my heroine can dominate her opponents, or when she is going to be the submissive one. I really enjoy that concept in sexual games : "you fail, you are fucked". I just like playing a very hot bitch trying to prove that she is above others but ending whoring herself everywhere. Should be in my male genes. ^^

    As for the best sex game I can imagine, the one that respond the most to my taste, yours is actually not very far. It has a real gameplay, and an excellent concept. But the best one I can imagine would definitely be an RPG. With lot of choices to make. And still fights that you should not lose... well at least if you want your character to preserve some dignity.

  12. This is indeed a tough question. I have always favoured games NOT primarily focused on the sexual aspect. You should not create a sex game if you are only interested in the sex - you have to provide a game, too. That's why mods for Oblivion for example are good because the game is already there.

    The Sex in this game should be optional in a way that I can avoid it if I don't want to. If I don't want to have sex with an enemy I fight. If I loose that's bad luck but I can do something to avoid a rape. And if I want to have sex with someone (mostly something in my case XD) I'll gladly offer myself if I want to. It would be even better if the game would keep track of my preferences and develop accordingly for example if I constantly agree in having sex with X, my relations towards X should improve and benefit me while Y for example gets more and more pissed to the point they just try to tear me apart.

    Short version: It's best when the sexual part is entirely optional and you have a game beside it. Sex as a (optional) reward is fine and it should be beneficial if experienced consensually :)

  14. The fact that you even think about questions like that is definitely a big part of why your current game is one of my favorite sex games I've ever encountered. As for if I could make my own, both RPGs and Dating Sims appeal to me as formats for sex games--but I'd want to move it in a direction where the player had to by actual on-screen action make their choices instead of just selecting text options. Also, even with sex as the point of the game I'd want the world/mechanics providing context for that sex to encompass a lot of non-erotic material to really make the erotic element stand out.

  15. What makes a good porn game?
    There is never one answer due to the wide variety of interests but in most cases there are three core concepts:
    Immerse, Relate, and Replay-Ability.
    Immerse the player in a world or activity so it creates the effect that it becomes a new reality that consumes the senses. Relate to the player with the main character or making an attachment to their desires. Lastly, make the game re-playable, which can be done in several ways.
    Of course I could give examples of the core concepts, expand on them, and offer some ideas on how to improve game concepts you have already drawn up but you wanted it brief…

  16. Let's start with a contrarian view on your main challenge-to-porn thoughts. The logical solution is to not say "I'm a rapist" in the first place, because pixels can't be raped. However, since feminists have imposed a meme on society that fantasizing about doing bad sexual things makes you a monster in and of itself, I suppose that's not a practical solution for most of the people who'd be playing the game.

    The various "ass around to the elbow" solutions sex-game makers employ are ways around that mental block. You're the female? Now you get all the rapey goodness and the player keeps their (virtual) hands clean! She would have raped you instead? Can't blame the victim because we're all victims now!

    Sperm collection questing, sex zombies, "curing" someone by fucking them... yes, they're all devices to create conflict in a world where even fantasizing about sex containing conflict makes you a monster... even in your own mind!

    Gamers don't seem to have a problem putting on an assassin's cloak or a mass-murderer's when they're playing games, and when they turn off the x-box, they take the cloak back off and aren't considered tainted with their virtual crimes and purported evil thoughts. I would argue that the abnormal thing in the room is that sex games are the exception to this rule.

    This is more a description of the problem than an actual answer, so it probably doesn't help a great deal. But don't knock the solutions just because they aren't the same cookie-cutters that the retail game industry uses. If Ubisoft came out with a story-telling shooter where you unlocked parts of the story by finding all of the unique ways and places to die, gameinformer would be writing a review the next day praising it's genre-changing innovation.

  17. I think there is a division between winning and a reward in general. A reward is something positive gained as a consequence of some other action. Players don't have to win in order to be rewarded. It all depends on what you want your game to be in the first place; the overall structure that almost all games employ is the "you do something to productive and you get a prize! YAY!" and not "you did something unproductive and you get a prize anyway! YAY!"

    If I could make a sex-game, I would kinda make it like Manty Five stated in his last paragraph, and that is to make a game where you can achieve a reward for finding a way to be unproductive. I would make a sex-game just like that, where the main hero/heroine is destined to save the day and it's your job to see that they screw up in the process by playing their character as horribly as you can. Yet, it would be a mighty challenge in making the game playable because you must teach your audience how to suck at a game without making the game suck to reach that purpose (no sexual pun intended).

  18. In my opinion the accent has to be put on the "struggle".
    In a sex game each one of the opponent is willing to have sex, but kinda like overpowering the other, like in toffisama "Princess of the Ring" (which is a very good example in my opinion).
    You beat each other a little - you rip each other clothes off - you go at it in a fight for dominance.
    So the player and the computer-driven opponents are struggling to dominate each other and who is more able (button pressing and so on) wins. In both cases you get different, but equally appealing, sex scenes.
    So, in my opinion, it is like a sex-fight, not a real rape, the way everything has to be conceived.

      there are only Woman like in Princess of the Ring.
      I think i you would do a game in this style, and the winning condition is to make the other pary cum first, it can be pretty interesting.

      You could customize it like, a set of sex animation but changable charakter with an editor,
      which of course will be add/removeable.

  19. -I'd make a game where you're a whore with basic skills.
    -As you do your trade, you get more skill points that you can spend on various sexual skills (blowjobs, domination), social skills (dancing, conversation, etc), and resilience (you can deal with stress better, have more self control, etc). This lets the player pursue his/her own fetish/style without spending too much time on others. This will influence which clients you see/impress most.
    -As you have more sex or get abused, you lose motivation, happiness, sanity, self-confidence or self-control. You can spend money to get back the above losses, by buying clothes, chocolate (makes you fat), drugs (huge confidence gain, but leads to addiction), partying, etc.
    -You are abused, based on where/with who you work. This would intensify the sanity loss mentioned earlier.
    -Based on who you work with/where you work, you have to deal with police one way or another.
    -Have multiple kinds of clients.
    -Have multiple endings based on how then player fared. Maybe she became a real estate agent. Maybe she got married? Maybe she became a model? A Mom? A burger king Employee? Arrested? Suicide? The money you have in the end influences this result. If you spent all your money on self-treatment, the ending will be more dire.

    1. -You can also follow your character from living in a shabby apartment to nicer ones, or move into brothels with different pay schemes. Where you live can have different effects on you, or provide different clients, etc. If you work in a brothel, you're far less likely to be abused by clients or the police. However, working in a brothel has a room renting fee that you have to pay, whether you see clients or not.
      -You can also work as an escort if your review is high enough. Maybe you start as a whore. Then you become an incall whore (you work in your own home or in your employer's establishment), and then an outcall whore (you visit the client's house or to dinner with them, etc).

      There is sex because...you're a whore.
      There is a challenge for 2 reasons:
      -you are trying to save as much as you can for when you (can) retire. This leads to a better ending.
      -To counter balance this, you want to prevent your motivation, happiness, self confidence, self control, etc from going too low. If any of these stats are too low, bad things happen, possibly game over. The more sex you have, the more these stats go down, and you will need to 'repair' this damage.

    I would do an RPG like kotor/mass-effect. So you could create your character. And the same system with light/dark but with axis :
    Girl character : romantic / slut
    Boy character : romantic / pervert

    Other axis could be : submissive/dominant, clean/dirty, etc...

    It would have any kind of fetish. And like an ElderScroll game or SlaveMaker you could lvl up each one of them like :
    [Girls' Stats ]
    Oral 15
    Vaginal 20
    Anal 10
    Dressing 25
    Make-up 30
    Boobs 10
    Sex-toys 15
    Submission 30
    Dominance 15
    Speaking 40
    High Heels 5
    Latex 5

    So you could max some of them, in an open world. The sex scene would be like cut-scenes with some interactions but a lot of choices and conversations.
    My main idea is customization. So lots of clothes, and achievments, etc. Replayability. Progress. Random quests and Characters.
    Of course to make this possible it would need strong patterns of conversations trees, etc.

    Making feel the player that the choices are some times important. Maybe a main story-line that will give some drama about some choices, etc.

    Also the creation give you the choice between different traits that will boost or lower some stats. There could be some special quests to get 'titles'.
    For example if you max Dominance/High Heels/Speaking/Latex you earn the 'Dominatrix' title, etc.

  22. I baught the first game and tried it out. Pretty interesting actually. It's not so much an H-game, as a story about sexual frustrations as a youth person. I'd recommend it.

    I've seen all the scenes by now (which aren't that many), but the most interesting aspect of the game is the NTR aspects. It's not an abusive NTR, really, but it's a more realistic degree of, "well, the woman you're interested in has her own interests, goals, motivations as well."

  23. This is the perfect game for me! It is everything I have ever wanted in a game. If you made 100 acts for this game, I would play every single one of them. This game has everything...So many positions, so many possibilities with the different characters, a great fun story-line game. I wish more people made games like this. Like i said I am your biggest fan of this game. Some things that I was thinking of just to throw ideas at you to fuel your ideas for upcoming acts...could have sex scenes between the different main characters, can have double boss sex, have sex scenes with younger couples, MORE HERMAPHRODITES (lesbian hermaphrodite was my favorite), have more triggers that lead to sex scenes (showers, beds, etc...), could even have a reputation bar that makes you good or evil (good means you have sex with all the bad guys to cure them...evil you have sex with the other characters and other side characters in the game to make you evil...will have different endings?, more strap-on scenes, you could have a strap-on, main character could grow a dick (could make multiple scenes with this i am hoping), other creatures (small with big dicks, flying, etc...), could expand to special 4-somes. Love what you are doing!!!!!!!

  24. i would make a game like kwarariru (sorry the exact name escape me) the game is or was (not sure if the author is still making the game or he give up is in japanese so dont know) the game is about a girl that is searching for something i dont know exactly but the gameplay was awesome you have to different h scene clothed or without clothes the only problem was is a gore ryona so some of the death was messy (i will take that out) and to lose the clothes in each lvl you had to do special things for example in the first lvl dont kill any rabbits or in the second lvl drink all the soda and etc then the character get undressed by misfortunes for being so careless it is a 2d hack and slash i love it if i made a game would be using something similar to this but without the gore

  25. One idea is to have the sex be part of the game play itself. like in order to get across barrier x you have to let the thorn bush blocking your path plant seeds inside the MC who has to then deposit them on fertile ground.

    For my own game? well... I've thought about this for a long time and wanted to make my own game, but had no means to so this might take a few posts.

    one idea I had a while back was symbioses, the idea that the sex is a kind of exchange. Example, enter your standard 'rape suit' where some kind of creature clings to the body of your heroine and has it's way with her, usually to the end of reproduction or manipulation.

    But what if that wasn't the case? What if it was symbiotic instead of parasitic? let's say it can enhance the 'user's' strength, grow armor, enhance reaction times or react automatically to a threat the user isn't aware of. Then you have all sorts of game mechanics you can introduce.

    For example, the suit can have stages of growth. a 'larval' stage where it deposited into the uterus of a host and then grows outward, feeding on vaginal fluids to grow into 'panties' then stockings then a corset and then to a final form. It stimulates the user when not in combat to get nutrients, this provides the porn sequences, which can change depending on what kind of 'symptoms' you want the suit to have. want to have it just tease her? thats fine. want something more? you can spend evolution points you earn from combat or sex with the suit to get something more like feelers or phalus growths. You can also ignore the suit, you don't HAVE to let it have its way, but it will grow weaker or simply detach itself in search of a more suitable host. which introduces a time management mechanic that can be put in hard mode.

    1. when in its larval stage, it can only stimulate the vaginal region and can only get nutrients from that type of stimulation (various types of masturbation) which is what kind of porn the player would have access to at this point.

      when it evolves to the panty stage it then gains the ability to seek additional sources of nutrients which have their own ups and downs. Like if it took excretions as a food source by going up the MC's anus it would then grow faster, but reduce the MC agility. Or utilize the MC's urine to grow a acid attack ability. It could also optionally feed on blood, sacrificing attack power for heath or drain health when activated for a certain buff. another optional food source is the excess body fat allowing for more agility but can reduce the breast size of your character, additionally this can also change overall look of your character, not just breast size. Feeding on excess body fat can make your character slimmer, less junk in the trunk and other some such.

      at the panty stage the symbiote can actively stimulate it's host. letting it 'Feed' unlocks the next tier of porn, what the symbiote can actually do is determined by what food sources it has been allowed. it can put small beads up the host's rectum to increase the nutrients available at that source, where something similar occurs with the urinal tract. you can get vaginal feelers and a bit of clit play.

      At the stocking stage it starts to give buffs like increased speed, enhanced kick strength, wall walking abilities. ext. it also can grow to become more armored, but at the cost of agility. At this point you can get the option of 'tail/protruding growths' it gives you new attacks and but lowers agility and can be utilized by the symbiote for stimulation, during stimulation it can increase the number of growths to accommodate how many 'food sources' it has access to if desired. However in combat it reverts to tail form. Also, at the Stocking stage the symbiote itself is able to take armor and structure damage as it has a default armor function whether or not you chose to evolve it. It will repair itself automatically but damage slows growth if the damage breaches the structural amount slotted.

    2. At the corset stage the breasts can be utilized as nutrition sources. Utilizing breast milk will allow for more powerful special attacks to be used. for example, the calcium allows the symbiote to grow projectile spikes. How frequently you can use this attack is dependent on your MC's breast size, the larger they are the more milk at the suits disposal and subsequently more calcium for more spikes. However, if you got the 'excess body fat' perk and lost a couple of cup sizes your probably going to be flat and probably only get one shot per battle. However you can increase the breast size of your MC by having the symbiote perk 'Host conditioning' this unlocks a porn sequence where the suit injects a growth hormone into the host, causing the breasts to rapidly grow a size. If you want your character to be rocking F-cups then you have to go through the sequence as many times as you need to work your way up the cup sizes, with a different sequence for each size. However F-cups will reduce your agility. If you have the body fat feeding perk and want to keep your F-cups then you get the 'selective feeding' perk otherwise you'll loose a size from time to time. Host conditioning also allows your MC to give birth to monsters, but more on that later.

      At the 'Adult' stage the suit is fully grown with shoulder pads and gloves, you can evolve better armor, and give the suit some autonomy, like having it grow eyes so it can see threats and help protect the host giving a faster reaction time. This stage also unlocks the breeding option, this lets you create followers by having comrades accept a larva and join you in battle as a follower though this only happens when the new symbiote has grown to the stocking stage.

      At the Adult stage you can unlock oral and have the MC's saliva as a food source, whether or not you have protruding growths perk can change how this is utilized in stimulation, while it does increase the growth rate of the suit it doesn't do so by much, but it does unlock the ability to have the Sym Suit create a mask that covers the mouth and nostrils. aside from looking cool it makes your MC invulnerable to gas attacks and doubles as a re-breather to allow easier underwater combat (if that is implemented).

    3. breeding allows you to make followers, depending on what perks you have this can be done in a few different ways, the default scene is where your MC births the larva and the next host inserts it into her vagina and lets it crawl into her womb or an alternate scene lets you scissor the prospective host and the larva crawls out of your MC into the new host. If you have the protruding growths perk your symbiote can grow a phallus and directly deposit the larva into the womb of the new host. And the last option is only available if you have the 'host conditioning' perk and the 'bring to term' perk, which I'll explain later. this allows you to let the larva stay in your own uterus until it's ready to move on to the panty stage, at this point you can initiate the sex scene, it will grow out of the womb act as a double ended dildo, if you've seen all the animations for two elves in FF:twin orbs you know what I'm talking about. it then transefers to the new host and forms the Panty stage. This option cuts time required before the new host can join you in battle by half.

      There is an evolved stage after the adult stage, this gives you hook-boots which allow you to hang upside down and walk on walls for special breeding options (lesbian action whilst hanging upside down on the ceiling? WIN!). The Evolved stage also lets you choose a special perk, you can increase your attack damage immensely, make your armor nigh impenetrable, greatly increase your agility, or give you the power of flight which gives you new attacks makes you difficult to hit by ground based enemies and gives a special monster breeding option.

      Now for the monsters, to understand them you have to understand the setting. Basically your MC is working for a defensive department for some country which has been working on bioweapons. The monsters are the result of a foreign powers attempt at bioweapons but they let it spiral out of control and overrun their country. Your MC volunteered for the program after hearing about through work. Which led you to becoming the first host of the symbiote, the result of your research. The monsters you encounter are NOT trying to rape you. They are trying to kill you. you job is to fight them and take them down wherever they show up. However, if you play smartly you can capture them and take them and bring them back to base for study.

    4. You can breed with the captured creatures to use them as a food source for the symbiote, unlocking special porn sequences for each creature. When you get the 'Host conditioning' perk you're able to become impregnated by the monsters you capture (though you are able to take precautions if you don't want that outcome) But will be unable to bring them to term and give birth to them. They have to be removed and placed in special growth tanks until they are large enough to follow you into battle. If you take the 'bring to term' perk which is available after you've taken 'Host conditioning' You will able to give birth to the creature, through the pregnancy you will gradually lose agility though the time it takes to bring the baby to term is short. After you give birth the creature will only require a few feedings before it's ready for battle. what it feeds on (breast milk, vaginal secretions, excrement. ect) is determined by what kind of monster it is, and how many feedings it need is determined by the creatures size. If the creature is birthed naturally it is significantly stronger than its pod born counterpart. some special creatures will only breed with you if you have certain perks, for example: armored lizards will only breed with you if you have a high armor rating. Or bat monsters will only breed with you if you have wings.

      As for the end game you will have three kinds of endings depending on what choices you make that are related to the plot.

      the first one being acceptance, where you and your symbiote followers breed tame creatures that eventually become integrated with human society as a whole. you get this ending if you manage to birth a creature (it can be pod born), teach them to be tame towards all humans and choose the dialogue options that argue for their domestication.

      The second is Dominion, where you and your followers breed with monsters outside of the base and take over the world, establishing a matriarchy centered around Symbiote users. You get this if you birth multiple creatures (not pod born) and in an instance where you are given the opportunity to breed with uncaptured creatures you do so. You also select a dialogue option with each of your followers to convince them to go along with your plot. it can be a threat, it can be the argument that this is evolution, you can blame failing politics for the actions necessity or you can appeal to their maternal side.

      The third option is extermination. You argue that all the creatures should be destroyed.

  26. I actually got here via Furry Fury, and was going to make a suggestion relevant to the topic of your post. I liked the sex, but most of the sex I liked was when the girl was losing. A solution struck me: what if there was a "slut" class, or something? Some way for the character to get better at the grapple (sex) mechanic, allowing her to "win" more often, and making it a viable playstyle, even versus bosses (which it isn't currently). You could even have Sex-armor that has a different mechanic than normal armor, like reducing the time between prompts for key sequences, or increasing the amount you gain for each sequence, or reducing the speed at which your position on the grapple bar degrades.

    In terms of story, you could explain it thus: the mindless zombies of the crew (or whoever) are "saved" or "brought out of it" by the character's amazing skill in bed. Or just not explain it.

    In a more general sense, you could base a game off of the idea that chi is exchanged during sex. Taoists believe that a man and a woman who have sex exchange some of their yin (female) and yang (male) chi to achieve balance. The idea behind Tantric is that, by not cumming, you can retain your own Yang chi and take the woman's Yin chi and gain various benefits (super powers, immortality, etc). You could base a game around the idea of Tantric Warriors fucking each other to gain mystic power, making the sex consensual but competitive.

    Anyway, good work on the games and keep it up. Feel free to take all of the above and run with it as far as you want, or not... I'm not claiming any copyright on anything. I do have some interesting ideas and some experience coding, though, so if you want to talk further lemme know.

This is where Playshapes' Legend of Krystal kind of strikes an ambiguous middle-ground; aside from the starting scene Krystal isn't /exactly/ forced to do anything, as she's the one going around initiating the sex-scenes. She's essentially forced to do-so but since she isn't forced into it directly it's left up to the player to choose whether she's innocent and simply doing what needs to be done, or if she's having a bit of fun even if she didn't choose to be in that situation.


    For games like your legend of the twin orbs the main gameplay mechanic is combat, but if you were to make the sex-scenes rewards rather than part of the combat then you're right that the justification becomes a bit uncertain (i.e - the player character becomes the rapist) which would make the game rape-or-be-raped rather than the common run-or-be-raped style of game.

    However, you can still spin it to some degree. For example, defeating an enemy in combat could cause them to submit; surrendering themselves to your wishes to either finish them off or start a sex scene with them. As with LoK this adds a bit more ambiguity as since the enemy has surrendered themselves it's not quite the same as them being forced. For example, if instead of being immediately wiped out an enemy fell to one knee and waited, during which time you can grapple to trigger a scene, or just finish them off straight away.

  28. I like the games where sex is the reward for your actions, but sexuality is present during the game play. There are a few fighting games where while you attack the girl her clothes eventually rip off and you see her bouncing around as the fight continues. For victory, you get to have your way with her. While this still makes your character a rapist i suppose, it is very entertaining. The game play of Legend of the Twin Orbs is a very good style, however it is better suited for the player to be the antagonist and go around trying to rape instead of avoiding it. If Dirtyc would be kind enough to share his game's programing eventually, I am sure that many people could create imaginative creatures to romp around as having their way with everything that moves.
